PENGARUH MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR ILMU PENGETAHUAN SOSIAL (IPS) SMP NEGERI KOTA BEKASI

This study aims to determine the motivation of learning achievement of Social studies (IPS) of SMP Negeri Bekasi students. The method that used in this study is a survey method. The sample in this study amounted to 60 students, consisting of 30 students of SMP Negeri 8 and 30 SMP Negeri 10 Bekasi. The results of this study indicated that there is a significant effect on social studies learning achievement in the Bekasi Junior High School students. This is proven by the calculated value of t = 2,394 with the value of t table = 1.672 and the probability value (sig.) = 0.02. Because of the sig value <0.05 and t arithmetic> t table, then there is a positive influence between student motivations on social studies learning achievement. The Improvement of student achievement must be continue improving to have a positive impact on students continuing motivation in learning activity, so that the learning outcomes are maximized.
